Silk Painting Workshop

I created this workshop as I have a love of silk paintng, and most people are amazed at how easy it is to create their own piece of art from a white piece of silk.

The Pictures are actually painted on making this a whole cloth design. I explain how to use the silk paints and why not use other

textile paints in this process and also show the students how to stitch their back ground area and create some real interesting

designs on their silk painting.

The texture of the threads and the thread painting that I do is just amazing to see how it comes along from one step to the next.

Building up your colors as you go.

You will learn how to use paints and how to apply them to silk correctly

You will learn how to paint onto the silk fabric to create a nice background as well as the foreground picture of the design. You will learn how to set up and get ready for their silk painting and what items they will need to finish your design.

You will also learn some basic quilting techniques and thread work, and to top it off they will get to play with threads in some

bobbin work on their artwork.
